Ekta Sharma joins call centre due to lack of work, pictures go viral

Television actor Ekta Sharma, who did not get work on television for two years, has started working in a call centre to make ends meet. Talking to daily, Ekta said, “I am an educated woman and rather than sitting at home crying, I decided to go out and earn. I am doing a respectable job and I am proud of it. Initially, I sold off my jewelry, hoping that things would work out. But after a year, when it didn’t, I decided to go out and look out for work.” Ekta Sharma’s last show ‘Bepanah Pyarr’ had wrapped up just before the lockdown. With expenses and bills piling up, the actress knew she couldn’t wait more. Apparently, Ekta is also fighting a court case for her daughter’s custody. She has been a part of the entertainment industry for the past 20 years and it is the first time when she struggled to find work. Ekta Sharma has been part of shows like ‘Daddy Samjha Karo,’ ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ ‘Kkusum’ and ‘Kamini-Damini’ to name a few. (All pics: Ekta Sharma/Instagram)
