Indian athletes continue to make the country proud with their medal wins at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022. As it happened, Judoka Sushila Devi Likmabam clinched a silver in women's judo 48kg final. With her win, she gave India its seventh CWG medal. She defeated Harriet Bonface in the quarterfinal and notched up a second win by beating Priscilla Morand of Mauritius in the semi-final to assure herself a medal. The athlete was in for a gold finish, but came up short against South Africa's Michaela Whitebooi in the final. The judoka won a silver medal at the 2014 CWG and had represented India at the Tokyo Olympics. After eight long years, she has returned home with a second CWG medal. In addition, no other judo player has been able to win a medal more than once at the CWG, making Sushila the most successful Indian judoka.
