Tokyo Olympics 2020: Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Deepak Punia & more, check list of big medal hopes remaining for India

India has sealed silver with Mirabai Chanu, two bronze medals PV Sindhu and Lovlina Borgohain at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics. With a few more days left in the event, the country has big medal hopes remaining to participate in their respective events.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya confirms at least a silver medal for India with a semi-final win over Nurislam Sanayev of Kazakhstan. With his win, he moved to the gold medal match in the Men's 57kg freestyle category.

The Indian wrestler put on a sensational show on August 4 to enter the final. With this, Dahiya became just the second Indian wrestler ever to enter the Olympics final after Sushil Kumar back in the 2012 London Olympics.

Dahiya will next take on Russia's Zaur Uguev in the final and can potentially become India's second-ever individual gold medalist at Tokyo 2020 after Abhinav Bindra back in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Vinesh Phogat is set to begin her Olympic campaign. Phogat had to pull out of the Rio Games due to a serious injury but she is back in the quest of her maiden Olympic Gold.

Phogat is a World Championship bronze medalist and she has also won two gold medals from the Commonwealth Games, as well as gold and bronze medals from the Asian Games.

The Indian wrestler will face Sofia Mattsson of Sweden in Round 1.

Despite losing her first round, Anshu Malik still has a chance of returning with a medal from the Tokyo Olympics.

On her Olympic debut, she lost her very first bout to Belarus' Iryna Kurachkina, but Anshu qualified for the repechage round. The repechage rule allows wrestlers who have lost early in the competition a second chance should their victor make it to the final.

Bajrang Punia who has constantly got medals in elite events in the last few years is a strong medal contender. He has many achievements to his name including a gold at the Asian Games.
