Virat Kohli falls for third golden duck in IPL 2022

Virat Kohli, who is playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore, fell for his third golden duck this IPL season to extend his grave batting slump. Opening the inning for RCB against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai, Kohli flicked the ball straight to short midwicket off left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith. Kohli fell for duck third time in the current IPL on the first ball, including two in successive matches last month. The star batter and former India skipper has scored just 216 runs in 12 matches with just one half-century. Former players like Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gawaskar advised Kohli to take a break. Shastri believe Kohli is "overcooked" due to relentless cricket. Recently, Kohli had stepped down as captain of India in T20 and Test cricket. However, he was removed as ODI skipper due to his poor form. Virat Kohli has not scored a single century in more than 100 matches in all formats.
