IPL 2022: RCB's Virat Kohli rules the list of top batters with most runs in Indian Premier League history

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is ongoing with teams performing their best on the field. The players representing the IPL teams have set marvellous records and are on the verge of breaking the same, one after another. However, Virat Kohli stands still as the batter with the most runs in IPL history. The former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain ranks first on the list and is also the only player to score more than 6,000 runs in the IPL. In the 14-year-long history of the league, the batting great has scored 6283 runs in 207 matches, while representing a single franchise— RCB. Kohli began his career with RCB in 2008 and has been one of the most consistent performers, despite not being able to win the title yet. Meanwhile, the cricketer is also only 52 runs away from scoring 1,000 runs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the cash-rich league. If he achieves the feat, he will become only the second batter to score 1,000 runs against a single opposition in the tournament. Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma is currently the only batter who has achieved the feat against a single franchise— Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
