IPL 2022: KKR's Pat Cummins creates all-time record with fastest fifty

Pat Cummins is an unlikely star with the bat as he recently smashed the fastest 14-ball IPL fifty to power his team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to a stunning victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 14th match of the 2022 IPL. It was some exceptional hitting from the Australian Test captain on the match as he ended up unbeaten on 56 off 15 balls. With this, he equalled the record of KL Rahul, who achieved the same milestone in 2018 against the Delhi Capitals. The half-century by Cummins helped KKR in defeating MI by five wickets in the match. With his outstanding performance, he asserted that he is ready to take any role that skipper Shreyas Iyer wants him to play during IPL 2022.
