Pakistan beat South Africa by 19 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in their Champions Trophy match at Edgbaston, England. Batting first, South Africa set a target of 220. While chasing the target, Pakistan had scored 119/3 in 27 overs when the rain forced the match to be abandoned. As per the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method, the target was revised to 101 runs and Pakistan was declared the winner.
