To celebrate their triumph with their beloved fans, captain Rohit Sharma and team Mumbai Indians along with owner Nita Ambani rode in an open-bus parade from Antilia, which is owner Mukesh Ambani's home, to their team hotel in Nariman Point on May 13, 2019. Some of the players from the team shared images from the parade on their social media accounts. Rohit Sharma credited Malinga for his stupendous final over. Lasith Malinga's final over was crucial to the team. He didn't let CSK score the nine runs they needed to win. The victory was Mumbai's fourth win against Chennai Super Kings in an IPL final. Rohit Sharma has captained the team on all four occasions and has successfully led them to the victory stand. He is the only captain to have earned the trophy five times.
