Amid the rain-soaked Royal Liverpool Golf Club in England, the American weathered a story start to lift the iconic Claret Jug. He finished six shots ahead of Australia's Jason Day, Austria's Sepp Straka, South Korea's Tom Kim and Spain's Jon Rahm. He took a commanding five-stroke lead into the final round. The 36-year-old rebounded from two early bogeys to card a closing one-under 70 to finish on 13-under par overall. Ranked 26th in the world, Harman is ruling the headlines. He has also been the centre of social media banter in cricketing circles with many pointing out the uncanny resemblance between him and former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting. The two exchanged the wedding vows in a romantic ceremony in Tennessee on April 23, 2022. Only recently, the glamour golf couple shared the pictures from their mesmerising wedding which instantly went viral on the internet. Paulina donned a stunning, see-through, crystal-encrusted Vera Wang gown while tying the knot with her athlete beau who looked dapper in a tuxedo. The model showed off the sparkling dress in photos posted on her Instagram, which showed her kissing her new husband while surrounded by white flowers and blooming trees. She captioned the post with the wedding date, "4/23/22♥︎." Dustin captioned a similar post with the caption, "4/23/22 What an amazing weekend with friends and family!!!" Another picture revealed the second look of the star couple from their wedding. Paulina turned heads in a backless white gown and the groom flipped from the black tux to a gray suit. Paulina's friend Jeremy Cohen also shared an unseen portrait image from the ceremony. Paulina and Dustin are one of the most celebrated couples in the sports world. They started dating before the beginning of the 2013 PGA Tour season and became a frequent fixture at golf events. The couple got engaged the same year. It was in 2015 when they welcomed their first son, Tatum Gretzky Johnson. And in 2017, Paulina gave birth to their second child, a son, River Jones Johnson. The United States golf team, led by a new generation, reclaimed the Ryder Cup, after defeating holders Europe at the biennial competition. The team completed its domination at the 2021 Ryder Cup with a 19-9 to clinch the largest margin of victory. It is also the third Ryder Cup win for the Americans. Europe was the titleholder after its win over the US in 2018 at Le Golf National. Ahead of this year's event, there were concerns as to whether the newcomers would be able to survive the golf competition against Europeans— a squad packed with cutthroat veterans. But the youthful energy or they like to call it 'young guns' gave their best performance. US Captain Steve Stricker called the win the greatest of all time and further declared, "This is a new era for USA golf." The American debutantes made a major contribution to the scoreboard. It was the youngest member, Collin Morikawa, 24, World No.3, who delivered the winning half-point at Whistling Straits. With their latest victory, the Americans also became the first team to notch 19 points, beating the previous record of 18.5 achieved twice by each team before. Post the win, Team USA was captured celebrating with champagne and more. Wed, 29 Sep 2021 10:04:50 +0530ReutersMatthew Wolff wins first golf tournamenthttp://photogallery.indiatimes.com/articleshow/70140733.cms20-year-old Matthew Wolff won his first PGA Tour title at the 3M Open. Bryson DeChambeau and Collin Morikawa were the runners-up of the tournament. After his victory, Wolff said, “It was kind of a delay actually from the crowd roar to when I saw him throw the fist pump. So, it was great playing by Bryson. He's obviously one of the best players in the world and he's proven himself. To be able to have a chance against him is awesome. But my mindset was kind of the same with that shot. I knew I was going to go for it… And when he did that, I kind of told myself and talked to Steve, it would be pretty special to roll in an eagle and finish this deal off on 18. Kind of that little adrenaline boost, I guess kind of motivated me.” 46-year-old Indian golfer Arjun Atwal participated at the tournament; he failed to create his magic as he carded a one-under 70 to finish 23rd. Rose who is ahead of Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy said, “The only reason I knew my putt on the last was to match Tiger’s score is that Rickie had that putt earlier and I was watching some of the (television) coverage,” Rose said. “I thought this would be kind of cool doing this in front of the great man himself. I don’t know if I did a good job of anything other than scrambling today so it’s good to know you can shoot a score like that and have something left in the tank.” Meanwhile, Tiger Woods is unaffected by the leaderboard. He told reporters that he is very pleased with his start. "It's typical Pebble Beach where the first seven holes you can get it going, and then after that you're kind of fighting and kind of hanging on. I kind of proved that today. I had it going early and had to fight off through the middle part of the round and hung in there with pars. Very pleased to shoot under par today. As I said, the first seven holes you can get it going, and you can be 4 to 5 under through the first seven holes. And then after that some of those were on the tricky side. They were hard to get it back and close to," Woods said.
