The funeral ceremony of New York City police officer Wilbert Mora was held at St. Patrick's Cathedral in the Manhattan borough of New York City in New York. The 27-year-old officer was shot along with officer Jason Rivera after they responded to a call by a woman. According to reports, the woman had a fight with one of her sons in Herlem. Rivera, 22, also succumbed to his injuries and his funeral was held last week. Thousands of mourners and New York police officers paid last respect to Wilbert Mora. Slain officer's brother Wilson Mora said his brother was an affectionate and enthusiastic person. "I just want you to know that I was always proud of you," I love you baby bro and I will always miss you," he said. Mora was born in the Dominican Republic, who migrated with his family when he was 7-year-old. Since his childhood, he wanted to become a police officer. "He absolutely loved this job. "With a kind, gentle soul and infectious laugh, he cared deeply about his family and truly valued his friends," Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said.
