Celebrated in the city of Puri, this ten day festival is to worship the idol of Jagnaath.
Subhra Devi and Lord Baladeva are said to be siblings of Lord Jagannath, hence they too get prayed to on this day.
This festival symbolizes harmony, brotherhood and unity.

The chariot is pulled by a number of devotees that gather from all around the world at the Jagannath Temple at Puri. The three sibling’s idols are placed in a chariot and taken to their aunt’s house, The Gundicha Temple.

The usual celebration brings together many devotees, however this year the pandemic restrictions have got strict rules and the procession will happen with no large numbers in order to avoid more Covid cases.
