Superbikes, swanky cars and expensive holidays: These pictures show ambitious 'sanyasi' Anand Giri's 'flashy' lifestyle

Anand Giri, who is in police custody for allegedly abetting the suicide of his mentor Mahant Narendra Giri, is grabbing headlines for his 'flashy' lifestyle. Anand Giri's pictures, in which he can be seen enjoying rides on superbikes, luxurious cars, and yachts, are going viral on social media. The 38-year-old ambitious 'sanyasi' is also known for his escapades. This is not the first time when Anand Giri is in news for the wrong reasons. Earlier, he was arrested by the Sydney police in May 2019 in connection with the cases lodged against him by two women in 2016 and 2018 for inappropriate behaviour. However, he was acquitted by the Australian court. Known as 'Chhote Maharaj' at the famous Bade Hanuman temple in Prayagraj, Anand Giri was also accused of indulging in financial irregularities associated with the temple fund. As a result, he was expelled from Baghambari Mutt and Niranjani Akhara. Thereafter, Anand Giri launched a malicious campaign against his mentor Narendra Giri. Later, Anand Giri somehow managed to make a truce and formally sought forgiveness from Narendra Giri and the Panch Parmeshwar of the Shri Panchayati Akhara Niranjani. On September 20, 2021, Mahant Narendra Giri was found hanging from a ceiling fan by a rope inside his room at Baghambari Gaddi Math in Prayagraj. A purported 8-page suicide note was recovered from the room, in which, Mahant Narendra Giri accused his estranged disciple Anand Giri and the priest of the Hanuman temple, Adya Tiwari and his son Sandeep Tiwari for blackmailing him.
