At least 30 people were killed after the massive rains wreaked havoc in Telangana. According to reports, out of total, 19 deaths were reported in Greater Hyderabad. The downpour, under the impact of a deep depression that crossed the Andhra coast, caused waterlogging and flash floods in the state capital and several other districts. The deadly rainfall caused a deluge in the city and the outskirt areas. At least 19 people were killed due to building collapse and other rain related incidents. The incessant rains resulted in overflowing of tanks, ponds, lakes, rivulets and streams and inundation of low-lying areas. The Indian Army and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) carried out rescue operations and saved many lives. Boats and other transport vehicles were deployed to evacuate residents stranded in flooded areas. Nine people were killed in Hyderabad as a wall of the house was collapsed due to incessant rain. According to reports, 10 people were killed in othr incidents like electrocution and drowning.
