According to the government data, around 1,82,217 patients have recovered from the contagion that has spread like a wildfire across the world. The state capital, Mumbai has recorded 5,817 fatalities from the pandemic so far. The state health department and several NGOs have been conducting door-to-door thermal screening in Dharavi, Malad East and several other parts of Mumbai to check the spread of the pandemic.
