Farhan Akhtar plays a boxer in Toofan

Farhan Akhtar's 'Toofan' is set to release in October 2020. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and written by Anjum Rajabali, the movie features stars like Mrunal Thakur, Isha Talwar, Farhan Akhtar, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak, Mohan Agashe and others. Farhan Akhtar has been hitting the gym religiously for months to play the role in 'Toofan'. Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Mehra, P. S. Bharathi and Rajiv Tandon are the co-producers of the movie. The lead actor has shared several photos of him practising boxing for the role on social media. Unlike 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', this movie is not a biopic. Farhan was quoted saying in an interview with PTI, "Anjum Rajabali has written this very endearing love story of a boxer, it's not a real-life figure but a fictitious character. What I liked the most about it (the story) was that it has a new voice. It's set among the lower middle class. Boxing is not a rich man's sport, anywhere in the world." (Photos: Instagram)
