Lenovo-owned Motorola has finally launched its 'Z -series' of smartphones in India. The company has launched Moto Z and its modular smartphone Moto Z Play with Motorola Mods.

Priced at Rs 39,999, Moto Z is claimed to be the slimmest premium smartphone in the world at 5.2mm. Moto Z runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box and features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display of 1440x2560 pixel resolution. Under-the-hood, it packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM.

On camera front, Moto Z houses a 13MP rear camera with laser-assisted autofocus, along with a 5MP front-facing shooter. It includes 32GB/64GB of in-built storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD cards.

The smartphone supports 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options, and is backed by a 2,600mAh battery. There's Turbo Charging support as well. The company has also ditched the traditional 3.5mm audio jack in the Moto Z smartphone.

The other launch Moto Z Play smartphone sports a price tag of Rs 24,999. the Moto Z Play runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the box and features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution Super Amoled display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB RAM.

Besides 32GB of inbuilt storage, the handset includes the usual connectivity features and has a battery capacity of 3,510mAh, which the company claims, can last up to 50 hours of use on a single charge. In addition, Moto Z Play supports Turbopower charging. On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Moto Z Play comes in Black with Silver trim and White with Fine Gold trim colour options.

Along with the two smartphones, the company has also launched Motorola Mods. The Moto Mods are modular accessories for Moto Z series smartphones.Moto Mods launched include Moto InstaShare projector, JBL SoundBoost, Moto PowerPack and Moto Mod camera.

As the name suggests, the Moto InstaShare projector comes with inbuilt projector. It aims to transform the smartphone into a projector with just a snap. JBL SoundBoost comes equipped with a JBL speaker and promises an enhanced sound experience.
