Indigenous smartphone maker Micromax has launched the A74, a budget offering, in India. This phone is powered by Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and has been priced at Rs 7,749.

Micromax A74 has a 4.5-inch touchscreen and supports dual-sim functionality. It comes with a 1.3GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM under the hood. The phone packs 4GB internal storage and offers 32GB expansion via microSD card.

On the back, the new A74 smartphone has a 5MP camera with LED flash, while a 0.3MP unit is used in front. Connectivity options in the device include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and microUSB 2.0. The handset has a 1,500mAh battery that is said to have talk time of five hours.
