Alcatel launched its Pop Star smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 6,999, the smartphone runs Android Lollipop and sports a 5-inch HD fully laminated display of 720x1280 pixels resolution.

The Alcatel Pop Star is a 4G enabled smartphone and is powered by a 1GHz 64-bit quad core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB in-built storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 32GB capacity.

The smartphone has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. It also comes with a 2,000 mAh battery.

The company had earlier launched three smartphones in its Pop series, dubbed as Pop 4, Pop 4+ and Pop 4s. The Pop 4 features a 5-inch display, while both the Pop 4+ and Pop 4s have 5.5-inch display.

The Alcatel Pop 4 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device stands at 8GB (expandable up to 32GB). It comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The smartphone packs a 2,500 mAh battery and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
