Varshita Thatavarthi is winning hearts with her captivating photoshoots

Varshita Thatavarthi, who always struggled with weight issues, knocked off around 15 kgs and made a portfolio for the agencies. Thatavarthi was told that she is not fit for modelling because of her curvier body. The model was born in Visakhapatnam and raised in Delhi. A media graduate from Manipal, she moved to Hyderabad to try her luck in movies. However, no director wanted to take her because of her looks. These obstacles did not dampen her spirit. Varshita's love for Mani Ratnam's movies took her to Chennai, but no luck. Thatavarthi's life took a turn when a friend invited her to a jewellery exhibition by Sabyasachi, where she met the fashion legend himself. She told him that she was a huge fan and posted a photo with him on Instagram. Two months later, she was contacted by his team members to be part of a shoot. Since then, there is no turning back for her. She has been getting messages from women worldwide thanking her for being part of these campaigns and breaking stereotypes. "Seeing a girl in Sabya's clothes who is curvy and of a darker complexion gave them confidence. Nothing could have made me happier," she said. Thatavarthi, who is now happy modelling, has not stopped looking out for the right opportunity to foray into acting.
