On accomplishing his passion for Fashion: Celebrity stylist & model Parakram SJB Rana

Popular fashion blogger and celebrity stylist Parakram SJB Rana, 24, was born and brought up in Nepal but grew up studying in a boarding school in Rajasthan (Mayo College, Ajmer) and has been living in Mumbai since 2012. Being a stranger to the new city was no easy task as this city was completely different to him from where he grew up. Parakram SJB Rana graduated from Jai Hind College, Mumbai with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media in 2015 and joined a leading magazine for a three-month internship as a fashion trainee. This made him realize his true passion for fashion. He worked under renowned celebrity stylists for 3 years and has now also styled the likes Manisha Koirala, Amyra Dastur, Ramona Arena, Anya Singh and many more. Nowadays he's focusing on his fashion blog which has picked up very fast since he started two years ago. Amassing a following of nearly 25K on Instagram, he has already managed to work with big brands such as Hermes, Jimmy Choo, Mercedes Benz, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, United Colors of Benetton, Daniel Wellington, Levis, Being Human, Myntra and Amazon Fashion to name a few. On talking to him about his accomplishments in the fashion blogging world, he says “It really feels so nice to get opportunities to work with such renowned brands. The fact that they have faith in me automatically gives me the motivation to do better and better. I am glad to know that my hard work is paying off. But I still have a long way to go, this is only the beginning.” June happens to be Pride Month and Parakram is openly and proudly gay. On asking him about whether being openly gay has had barriers for him to get collaborations from brands as a blogger, he clarifies “There has not been any trouble for me being from the LGBT Community. In fact, people and brands have respected me for being true to myself and for being one of the very few bloggers who are open about their sexuality.” (All Photos: Instagram)
