Prada’s Milan Fashion Week 2022 show ends with Jeff Goldblum and Kyle MacLachlan on the ramp

The second ramp show from founder Miuccia Prada and her co-creative director Raf Simons since the latter came on board in early 2020 marks a remarkable union of two of the fashion industry's most influential and famed designers. Taking the concept of uniform as their inspiration, Prada and Simons elevated boiler suits in silk tech, leather and cotton, and blurred rose-print by replacing the traditional historical shirt/tie/bow tie with new energy—oversized trench coats and handy parkas with shearling panels. Some of the highlights were accessories like compartmentalised backpacks, fluorescent gloves, and miniature pocket belts in the signature Prada triangle. Goldblum and MacLachlan present the collection to a socially distanced audience of 200-plus guests, including new generation actors such as the 'Queen's Gambit' star Thomas Brodie-Sangster, 'Sex Education' lead Asa Butterfield and the award-winning 'Moonlight' actor Ashton Sanders. According to Miuccia Prada, "Actors are interpreters of reality, employed to echo truth through their portrayals. Real men, recognised figures, they bring a new facet of reality."
