New York Fashion Week 2023: Carolina Herrera brings romance, opulence to the runway, see pictures

Fluttery dresses with a playful twist were elevated by tulle details, with A-list guests including Rachel Zoe, Maddie Ziegler and Julianne Hough gracing the front row as Carolina Herrera presented the fall/winter collection. In the grand Plaza Hotel ballroom in New York, creative director Wes Gordon showcased his designs inspired by themes of elegance, royal drama, romance and opulence. The collection was inspired by the dichotomy of discipline and grandeur found in 'Sisi,' Empress Elisabeth of Austria. Gordon's signature Carolina Herrera aesthetic was on display in a yellow tulle dress that bounced as the model strutted down the runway. Another look that brought drama was yet again a tiered black and white tulle dress. Some of the attention-grabbing looks were inspired by Empress Elisabeth of Austria. One of the models was seen wearing a chunky pearl necklace with a buttoned-down black full-length dress featuring golden embroidery. The American fashion designer delivered a multitude of looks that ranged from embroidered pink mini dresses to oversized colour-blocked dresses and more.
