Tyra Banks' photos go viral after Twitter calls out supermodel's 'toxic' behaviour towards ANTM contestants in resurfaced clips

If you are active on social media, you know that supermodel Tyra Banks is trending. Her old runway pictures, stunning photoshoots and more flooded the timelines on the internet. But why is she trending now? Every few months, old clips of 'America’s Next Top Model' resurface and go viral, raising eyebrows. The reality TV series, which ran for 24 seasons from 2003 until 2018, has many jaw-droppingly shocking moments between Banks and the many hopeful contestants. The model, who served as the creator, presenter and resident judge of the show, has often been criticised for being cruel towards the contestants on the show. And it happened again! Old clips from ANTM resurfaced online and people noted that Banks at times went too far in her approach to the modelling world. Her 'toxic' behaviour towards the contestants did not sit well with Twitterati. Some even alleged that Banks was biased against the women of colour who participated in the contest. In May 2020, following the scrutiny for her former comments, Banks issued a public apology that read, "Looking back, those were some really off choices. Appreciate your honest feedback and am sending so much love and virtual hugs." However, she is yet to respond to the most recent criticisms of her time on ANTM.
