In photos: Meet Kelly Hughes, swimsuit model who went viral for flaunting her C-section scar

Kelly Hughes is ruling the internet after she became the first swimsuit model to flaunt her cesarean-section scar for a popular fashion magazine. She took to social media and penned a long note following by a picture of herself in a bikini that has now garnered a lot of praises and love. The model wrote, "I struggled with insecurities from my scar being that I’m a model and my incredibly difficult recovery but it wasn’t until I 'embraced my scar that I experienced the true power in it'." She further revealed the struggles she endured during labour, the insecurities she faced after giving birth and how she has learned to embrace her body after delivering her now 3-year-old son via cesarean. She started her career as a fashion model and walked for several well-known shows and also modelled for popular brands. As her post went viral, the 42-year-old encouraged other women to flaunt their scars of all kinds and share their stories.
