Plus size model Tess Holliday from Mississippi who is just 5-foot-3 and a size 22, has always been making headlines for speaking up regularly on issues like feminism, body acceptance and motherhood. She's one of the most outspoken women in the modelling industry. Apart 1.5m from followers, she also authored a book named, 'The Not So Subtle Art of Being a Fat Girl: Loving the Skin You're In'.

Tess Holliday is determined to break into high fashion and want high end brands to make clothes for plus-size women. She told one of the top notch fashion magazines, "if brands like Gucci can make plus-size menswear, then why can’t we see it for women?” She started her career in modelling at the age of fifteen, and it was not easy. “I got rejected because of my height and my weight,” she said. But that “just made me push harder.” She created a hastag (#effyourbeautystandards) on social media in 2013, which got her media attention.
