Popular singer Alka Yagnik, who turned 57 on March 20, celebrated her birthday with family and friends from the entertainment industry friends. The singer hosted a party at a popular eatery in Mumbai. From singers Adnan Sami, Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, Sunidhi Chauhan and lyricist Javed Akhtar to actors Govinda, Bhagyashree and Padmini Kolhapure, stars galore at Alka Yagnik’s bash. Alka posed happily for the paparazzi with daughter Syesha Kapoor and son-in-law Amit Desai before entering the party venue. The birthday girl decked up in a black and grey gown for the occasion. Celebrities like Poonam Dhillon, Parul Gulati, Akriti Kakar, Udit Narayan and Rahul Vaidya also graced the event with their presence. Born on March 20, 1966, Alka started her career by singing bhajans for Akashvani. Later, she became successful with the popular dance track 'EK Do Tee' from 1988 movie 'Tezaab' and 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai' along with Ila Arun from 1993 film 'Khal Nayak'. She was among the topmost singers of the 90s era singing almost 9,000 songs in 300 films. Her romantic duets with Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan and Sonu Nigam are still loved. After Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, she is the third topmost female singer, who has sung the maximum number of female solos in movies. Alka Yagnik holds two National Film Awards and was named the most streamed artist in the world by Guinness World Records with 15.3 Billion YouTube views in 2022.
