About this Gallery

People, things and situations that one observes in daily life were transformed into works of art in a series unveiled by artist Bapi Das at a city art gallery recently. In the series, titled ‘A needle, a stitch and many tales’, the artist employed embroidery to bring different motifs to life. Art aficionados in the city marvelled at the artworks and were impressed with how Das, who used to drive an autorickshaw for a living, transformed his daily escapades on the roads into charming pieces of art.
