Team Shabaash Mithu promotes their film at Taapsee Pannu’s alma mater

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, who plays the role of the legendary cricketer Mithali Raj in ‘Shabaash Mithu’, took a trip down memory lane in Delhi. She was also joined by director Srijit Mukherji and cricketer Mithali Raj. From enjoying a hearty breakfast of chhole bhature to Taapsee’s alma mater, the team had a gala time during their Delhi visit. Later, they visited Taapsee’s school Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Ashok Vihar where she received a warm welcome from senior officials and teachers who had taught her over the years. The students presented a small performance in her honour and later felicitated Mithali and Srijit. The ‘Shabaash Mithu’ team stepped out on the field to play a round of cricket with the school team. Taapsee’s teachers and vice-chairman spoke about her achievements as a student and showcased photographs of her days in the school. The actress revealed that she used to participate in multiple extra-curricular activities, including various sports, public speaking and dance. Speaking to the students, Taapsee said, “Today, I understand the importance of opportunities that a school gives us. Make sure that you make good use of those opportunities, live life to the fullest and explore as many things as you can here.” Taapsee also added, “Then, we'll meet in the outside world and I'm sure you will all excel out there!” Drawing examples from their own experiences, Taapsee and Mithali highlighted the importance of sports for girls, how it helps build confidence and adds value to life. “I think my journey of who I am today started from here. I used to play every sport that was. there in school. I think that has given me the ability to even consider picking up films like Shabaash Mithu,” Taapsee added.
