The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) gathered scarp and waste material over the last several years and used it for the project of making sculptures from the waste and scrap materials. Earlier, the official told TOI, “A total of 30 sculptures made out of scrap will be installed at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Park located in Sector 14, Gurugram. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.49 crore and is likely to be completed by November, 2020.” Installation of these sculptures have been categorised into three categories- in the first, sculpture has covered 20 sqft area and second sculpture has covered 90 sqft area and the third category of sculpture covered 180 sqft. “A total of 30 locations in the park where these sculptures will be installed have been identified. We are going to complete the project by November this year. We will ensure that the walking tracks are not disrupted by any means due to these installations,” Yadav informed TOI. Ten sculptures are installed in three categories. Automobile parts, iron grill, old pipes, old vehicles, and other waste material are utilised to create these sculptures.
