Mexican influencer and bodybuilder Odalis Santos' pictures go viral after her death

Mexican influencer and bodybuilder Odalis Santos Mena passed away on July 7 after her medical surgery went wrong. According to reports, Odalis, 23, was hired by the SkinPiel clinic in Mexico for the promotion of a treatment to reduce underarm sweating named MiraDry. The experts say that heat energy is used to remove sweat glands, which also leads to reduction of body odour and underarm hair. Odalis also underwent the procedure and suffered a cardiac arrest after being anesthetised. The doctors tried to revive her via CPR but Odalis died soon after. The influencer, who had more than one lakh followers on Instagram, had also endorsed MiraDry treatment on social media claiming that the "no sweat" treatment was safe and effective. The authorities have launched a high level enquiry to know the actual reasons of her death. Some officials said that the death could be due to a “combination of the anesthesia and a steroid” that she might have been taking since longtime.
