Late Wajid Khan’s mother Razina tests positive for COVID-19

Music composer Wajid Khan, of Sajid-Wajid fame, who passed away at a hospital in the early hours of Monday (June 01, 2020), is in news again after reports of his mother tested positive for coronavirus went viral. Singer Sonu Nigam confirmed the sad news of Wajid Khan’s sudden demise. He wrote, “My brother Wajid left us.” Reports stated that Wajid Khan was also suffering from a kidney problem over the past few years, and was put on a ventilator. Amid lockdown, Wajid along with Sajid had composed songs for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan including the popular track ‘Pyaar karona’, a pop anthem encouraging all to fight the coronavirus. Many celebrities took to social media and expressed their grief over Wajid’s demise. The popular Sajid-Wajid duo had last worked together on Salman Khan's song titled 'Bhai Bhai', which was released on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Sajid-Wajid shot to fame with the Salman Khan blockbuster movie ‘Dabangg’ in 2010, and since then there has been no looking back for the artistes. Some of their numerous hits were ‘Tere mast mast do nain’, ‘Hud hud Dabangg’, ‘Do you wanna partner’ and ‘Soni de nakhre’, ‘Mujhse shaadi karogi’ and ‘Laal dupatta’, ‘Mashallah’ and many more.
