Demi Lovato, an American singer, songwriter and actress, started her acting career at the age of 10. Coming from a broken family, she didn’t have a normal childhood. Demi was bullied so badly that she had to opt for homeschooling. Apart from singing and acting, Demi also plays piano and guitar. Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson are her biggest influencers. The ‘Skyscraper’ artist felt that her late father was mentally ill, with whom she had a strained and abusive relationship. Demi struggles with bipolar disorder, addiction, an eating disorder, and self-harm. She has published the book ‘Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year’ in 2013 and a YouTube documentary about her life and career, ‘Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated’ in 2017, which is about her struggle with mental illnesses. Former Disney star has not only an ‘Honorary Ambassador of Education’ by the ‘American Partnership For Eosinophilic Disorders’, but also an advocate for the LGBT community.
