Virat Kohli & Tamannaah Bhatia charged for promoting online gambling; petition filed seeking their arrest

In a bizarre incident, a petition has been filed against actress Tamannaah Bhatia and the captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli in Madras High Court. A Chennai-based lawyer has requested the court to ban online gambling apps because the youngsters are getting addicted to it. The petition also alleged that Tamannaah Bhatia and Virat Kohli should get arrested as they have been promoting these online gambling apps, which are influential on youngsters. The petition and claims are supported by the case of a youngster, who died by suicide as he was unable to payback the money he lost in online gambling. The case will go into hearing on August 04, 2020. In the month of March, Tamannaah was roped in to be the brand ambassador of an online gaming app. She joined Virat, who was already the brand ambassador of the app. She had tweeted, "Who doesn't like gaming?
