From Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar to Kriti Sanon, celebrities welcome SC verdict in Sushant’s case

Congratulating each one of the 'SSR warriors', Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut shared through her KanganaTeam Twitter handle, and wrote, "Humanity wins, congratulations to each one of SSR warriors, the first time I felt such strong force of collective consciousness, AMAZING (with 3 Clapping hands emoji) #CBITakesOver."

Sushant’s sister Priyanka Singh rejoiced over Supreme Court’s decision and took to her Twitter handle and shared a happy picture with the late actor. She wrote, “Destiny’s Rockstar and my soul friend... it’s most melancholic- the slightest of realisation that you are not there!!!#CBITakesOver.”

Soon after the Supreme Court transferred the probe of the death case to the Central Bureau of Investigation, actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra took to Twitter and wrote, “Lauding the #SupremeCourt in this decision. The power of prayers and so many wishes manifesting never ceases to amaze me. Hope the truth comes out soon; for the sake of his family, fans, and above all... for his soul to rest in peace May justice prevail#CBIEnquiryForSSR.”

Sending out his prayers, actor Akshay Kumar shared a post on Twitter and welcomed the decision by the Supreme Court. He wrote, "SC directs CBI to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput's death. May the truth always prevail #Prayers."

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, too, welcomed the decision by Supreme Court and wrote on Twitter, "Welcome Judgement by the Hon. Supreme Court of India on the #SushanthSinghRajput case. Hope justice prevails. #CBIForSSR #JusticeforSushantSingRajput."

In an exclusive interview to ETimes, Sushant’s ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ co-star Bhumika Chawla said, “My thing is whoever takes over it doesn’t matter, the point is that truth should come out. It can be done by anyone. Lately, I think everyone has been giving opinions from audience to actors to politicians to the Twitter world to the news channels. And I think we have got enough opinions to add on to it. I just feel whoever is doing the job, whether it’s the Mumbai Police or CBI, justice should come out regardless so that we should know the truth.”

In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Raveena Tandon said, "I am glad that the CBI will now take over. We all want to know what happened and we need a closure on the case. It has only got murkier by the day from whatever we see on the news."

Sharing his reaction exclusively with ETimes, Shakti Kapoor said that he is “relieved” and has “tears of happiness” in his eyes for Sushant Singh Rajput.

In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Celina Jaitly said, “The system must not fail those it has promised to protect, it is the privilege of human beings to live under the laws of justice and mercy. Sushant’s story is the story of an entire nations heartbreak. Whatever the truth, I believe all those who are grieving need closure, specially his family. The best way to reach this closure is through the law.”

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh’s lawyer Vikas Singh said, “The SC ruled on all points in our favour. The Court also clearly said that the FIR registered at Patna was correct." He hoped that the justice will be pronounced very soon. “The family is very happy with the verdict,” the lawyer added.
