Miss Hawaii 2015 Jeanné Kapela tests positive for COVID-19

Beauty queen Jeanné Kapela, who was crowned Miss Hawaii 2015, has tested positive for COVID-19. Apparenty, Jeanné pleaded the the law-makers to shut down schools and businesses in order to protect people from the spread of coronavirus. Jeanné made her plea on Facebook in a post, in which she wrote that she believed she was exposed to the virus during a New York City trip, where she had auditioned for the New York Jets dance team. Jeanné said, “I was concerned about having potentially been exposed to COVID-19 in New York and tried to get tested before returning to Hawaii, but was unable to do so due to the nationwide shortage of tests that we were, and still are, experiencing.” JeannéKapela confirmed she has notified all of the parties that she had been in contact with since returning home, but “luckily, none of them, including her family, have shown symptoms” of COVID-19. “Now is the time to bond together in common cause to prevent the spread of this illness. We must invest heavily in our medical network and ensure that everyone can immediately receive care, when needed. We should all have access to testing. We shouldn't have to wait days for the results. And we should be able to get life-saving treatment for free.” “Here's how coronavirus has left me feeling: determined.
