Filipino-American transgender woman Kataluna Enriquez crowned Miss Nevada USA 2021

Kataluna Enriquez was crowned as Miss Nevada USA 2021 during a gala event held in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, on June 27, 2021. Kataluna Enriquez will represt Nevada in the upcoming edition of Miss USA. Miss Nevada USA 2021 Kataluna Enriquez succeeds Miss Nevada USA 2020 Victoria Olona. The 27-years-old Kataluna, who hails from Silver State, is from the Filipino-American descent and the first transwoman to participate in Miss Nevada USA, who is all set to go on to become the first transgender woman to compete in Miss USA 2021. Kataluna studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, California, and started her career in modeling in 2012. She is also a fashion designer and has a label named Kataluna Kouture. She has participated in Transnation Queen USA 2016 and Miss International Queen 2018 pageants.
